Butters Notes
My current project is a blog to give beginning graphic designers tips and explanations, in a fun and creative way.
Logo Evolution
The name and logo was inspired by my cat. When I first started learning Graphic Design, I read through the Photoshop and Illustrator manuals. During my studies, Butters, would demand my attention by sitting directly on my notes. As I have gone through my career, learning different skills, she has always been by my side. Sitting on my stuff. I sketched various cats until I was happy with, essentially, a cartoon version of Butters.
Giving Back
I have spent countless hours learning from many different content creators. Some content was paid for, but the vast majority of tips, guides or tutorials have been made by generous people providing their knowledge and time for free. I will be discussing basic concepts that are used in production.
For example, the basic difference between RGB and CMYK, common measurements needed for technical files and what are Pantones. (Not Pan Tony.) The blog is meant to be a fun way of teaching basic, but important Graphic Design concepts. I will also provide my personal experience in this industry that will hopefully help others who are just beginning their studies or careers.
Work in Progress
The design and initial articles are completed. The development phase will begin shortly.
The inspiration
Butters, a flame point siamese cat. Check out her Instagram for cute cat pictures.
